Allow Possibility to Feed Your Soul

possibility

I’ve always seemed to be on a one-track train to success. Every single job I had, I would single out whose job I thought was the best, and go after that job. Once I would get it, I would go on a new search for something different, something better. So for years I had done this, and it worked. But it created a pattern of not being open to other possibilities.

My whole life I have been maneuvering to figure out the fastest and quickest way to get where it was I was going or doing. Now that I reflect on that behavior, there is certainly a cause to celebrate because I have many accomplishments, but what I find that has happened is it allowed for a big void in my life. A feeling of always being dissatisfied.

This feeling finally made itself so present, that I just couldn’t ignore it anymore. I didn’t like how I was feeling. I decided that I couldn’t handle feeling this way anymore. I didn’t really know what I was looking for or what was even out there because I had just stayed in my comfort zone. I didn’t know what to do to even start.

But I do easily lean in towards very positive energy, and I needed that type of resource. I took a leap, a very small leap, and it was as simple as just going to a person that was currently in my life whom I had worked with and loved their energy. We met, and I just listened.

For most people listening would be something rather simple to do, but for me it is a real struggle. I really have to get focused because I can easily drift away. Of course, unless it is something that triggers excitement or a desire for new change. And well, when one of those two things happen, then I am engaged.

I found by just opening up to other people and possibilities what my next step needed to be. Since that time I have made several changes in my life which have allowed that irritating feeling of being dissatisfied dwindle down. I feel more fulfilled than I have ever felt in my life.
