Meeting With Remarkable Women

rmeeting

I recently had the opportunity to connect with some very dear girlfriends of mine, and we were discussing all of the ways we connect with other women in our lives. There’s a lot of support out there for women, such as in women’s networks, coaching and mentoring.

We all agreed that we enjoy being in an intimate environment when meeting with the remarkable women, more than the networking, coaching and one-on-one mentoring. I know for me I feel more relaxed, open and engaged in the conversation.

When I get to start off a conversation with a toast, I know I’m in the right setting! We were all were conscious of asking each other what was going on in each others’ lives, and it was so inspiring to me to hear. We celebrated accomplishments, discussed strategies, new projects and great things happening in our personal lives.

When you are meeting with remarkable women, you tend to want the clock to stop because you are thoroughly enjoying yourself. It is natural and fun. Shared positive experiences are opportunities to bring you closer together and give you memories to reflect on for years to come. There is something to be said when you hear people say how important it is to “build close relationships”.

Over the years I have been more conscious when building my support system. I’ve come to learn just how important it is in my life. Not just to have a circle of girlfriends to help my career, but also if not more importantly to walk through life with on a personal level.

Spending time with them is not wasting my time. It really is like “exercising”. When we exercise, we are doing something good for our bodies, and it’s the same when we are hanging out with female friends.
